DALAI LAMA
Dalai is my first rescued corgi girl. Not my first Corgi, nor my first rescued dog, but first rescued corgi. Not only is she MY first rescued dog, she is the first Corgi I rescued as AZ Cactus Corgi Rescue. She and her brother Swammi came in together, he went to live with my nephew. Dalai loves to "wallow" in her water dish to cool off. She will sit up on her haunches and paw the air for attention or food. She loves belly rubs and all the attention she can get.
DIAMOND GIRL II, RN
Diamond is the youngest of my adopted babies. She is a talker and you have never been greeted right until you have received a hello from Diamond. She squeaks, barks, yips, and her butt wiggles so fast and she is so excited and happy and she gives you the biggest smile. Then, she attacks your shoe! She has earned her Rally Novice title in AKC and is training in obedience for her Companion Dog title and has just started training in agility. She does demand her attention, will jump in your lap or if she is on the floor, will roll over, put her left paw (always) in the air and wave to you to get you to pet her belly.
KONG
Kong is 10 years young. He came to me because his family was losing their home :( He couldn't be adopted out through the rescue because he has Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) so he gets to live his life with my pack. He has the pinkest lips and that is one of his nicknames - Lips. His previous owners did tell me Kong saved his Mom's life once. She was being attacked by a loose dog and her husband ran out of the house to help her. Kong ran out after his Dad and attacked the dog, getting it to let go of his Mom so Dad could take her in the house. He was torn up but survived and now he is my protector. He is the smartest little guy, will do anything to please you. It's sad to watch him lose the ability to use is rear legs, but as long as he is trying and wants to try, he will be my "old guy".
TURBO
Turbo came to me as a 3 month old pupster. He is now 2 yrs young. He is one fast and wild boy, but loves to sit in my lap and have his head petted. If you stop, he pets you with his paw until you resume. He is training in agility now and he will be a speed demon!!
GIDGET, RN
Gidgie is my covergirl. She is my therapy dog, loves going to the nursing home to visit my Mom and all the people there. She has earned her Rally Novice title and many agility titles in DOCNA. Gidget is the smartest corgi girl I have ever met, she can figure out how to do so many things on her own and she can figure out how NOT to do things she doesn't feel like doing. Such as obedience off leash while in the trial ring. She would rather entertain than work. She is a clown. She has the softest fur, it feels like mink, and her big round brown eyes will melt your heart everytime!!
